This week in Reading we will be practicing the skill Make a Mental Picture in our classroom. Making a mental picture means that you can use the words written on the page to help you make a picture of what is happening in your mind.

How to Make A Mental Picture:
When you make a mental picture, you use the words on the pages, and your own similar experiences, to picture in your mind what is happening in the story. You can also use adjectives to help you make a mental picture. Adjectives are words that describe, like "blue", "fast", or "large". These words can help you see details in the story.
